Maobin Xie is currently a Professor in the School of Biomedical engineering at Guangzhou Medical University. Dr. Maobin Xie received his PhD degree of Biomedical engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China in 2016 and M.S. degree of Microbiology from Huaqiao University, Xiamen, China in 2012. He joined Department of Biomedical Engineering, School of Basic Medical Science, Guangzhou Medical University, Guangzhou, China since Nov 2016, and as a professor since Feb 2019. His research interesting includes biomaterials, nanomedicine, and drug delivery. He is a Research Fellow in Biomaterials Innovation Research Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School since Dec 2019. His work focused on biomaterials, drug delivery, volumetric bioprinting and living materials 3D printing. He has published a series of academic papers in different high-impact journals, including 18 papers as the first/corresponding author in Science Translational Medicine, Nature Communications, Advanced Functional Materials, Biomaterials and other internationally recognized journals. Besides, he has independently developed the first volumetric bioprinter in China and created the Green Key Biotech brand for industrial transformation. He also serves as a reviewer for Advanced Science, ACS Nano, Small, Applied Materials Today, Nanoscale and other international journals.
