We investigate rapid volumetric (bio)printing of pristine, unmodified silk-based (silk sericin (SS) and silk fibroin (SF)) (bio)inks to form sophisticated shapes and architectures. Both types of silk-based (bio)inks are cytocompatible. We also investigate the compatibility of pristine, unmodified heart-derived dECM (h-dECM) and meniscus-derived dECM (Ms-dECM) combined with Ru/SPS as a new class of bioinks for volumetric bioprinting. Low concentrations of dECM allow for fast printing and high cellular activity.
