The laboratory is pleased to welcome Professor Qi Gu for a visit. Professor Gu, recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, PhD supervisor and researcher of Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as dual researcher of Beijing Institute of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, is committed to the development of stem cell specific materials and printing platforms.
Professor Gu delivered a wonderful academic report entitled "Organ manufacturing and functional simulation". This report delves into the fusion of developmental biology principles with organ manufacturing, highlights the obstacles yet to be overcome, explores the integration of bioengineering and advanced bioprinting methods, with a particular focus on closing the gap in structural complexity and functional authenticity between artificially engineered structures and their natural analogues.
This remarkable academic exchange provided a platform for researchers and aspiring scientists to communicate with Professor Gu, promoting the sharing of knowledge and potential collaborations between our laboratory and Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
